Single vs Double Neon Sign: What Is the Difference and Which to Choose?
Single neon is one tube of light per letter, double neon is two: bolder and brighter at about twice the price. See the difference and how to choose.

Single neon puts one tube of light along every letter; double neon puts two. Double looks bolder and brighter and costs about twice as much. Here is how to decide, and how to see both before you buy.
What is the difference?
- Single neon – one tube along the centre of each letter stroke. A clean, classic neon look.
- Double neon – two tubes following each stroke (the outline of the letter), so the letters look thicker and glow more strongly.
The board, size, colour and plug are the same. The only difference is how much neon is used, which is also what changes the price.
How much more is double neon?
About twice, because it needs about twice the neon. On the ready-made showcase designs below the Double price is exactly 2× the listed price: for example a Rs 3,899 sign is Rs 7,798 in Double. In the Custom Neon Builder Double is also exactly 2×, and the builder shows the exact total for every size before you order.
